A look inside

Pick a world

Same friendly owl, five worlds. Tap a theme to see the screen change.

Sample screens with made-up names.

How it works

Three easy steps

Set up once. After that, your child taps their picture and plays.

  1. 1

    Get your code

Enter your email. We send a 6-digit code. No password to remember.

  2. 2

    Set up the iPad once

Just once, on your child's iPad: sign in with your email code, or use a pairing code or QR from your phone.

  3. 3

    Tap your picture and play

Your child taps their own picture and starts a short game.

Works in the browser. Add it to the iPad home screen and it opens like an app. Nothing to download from the App Store.
The iPad stays signed in for up to 12 months. You can remove a device any time.
What kids practise

This week's class, as games

Each week the games follow the class's own work. Five subjects, one place.

  • Quran

Memorise with recitation audio. A parent approves the recitation.

  • Arabic

    Learn and practise new words.

  • French

    Practise French words.

  • Math

    Practise the week's math.

  • Science

    Explore the week's science.

Stars and rewards

Play. Earn stars.
Level up.

Finish games to earn stars and level up. Keep your days-in-a-row streak going. Save stars to ask for a reward, like movie night. A parent decides.

  • Stars stop at a daily limit, so a little each day is the way to go.
  • Parents approve rewards and Quran recitation in grown-up mode, behind a family PIN. Kids cannot approve their own.

Questions parents ask

Who can use Owl Steps?

Only invited families. There is no public sign-up.

How does my child sign in?

You sign in once with the 6-digit code we email you. Then you set up your child's iPad, one time: sign in on the iPad with the same email code, or scan a QR code from your phone, or type a 6-character pairing code from your phone. After that, your child just taps their own picture.

What do you keep about my child?

A nickname, a picture and their game progress, such as stars, level and streak. No real name and no email for kids. Your own email is used to send your sign-in code.

Do I need to download anything?

No. It works in the browser. On an iPad you can add it to the home screen so it opens like an app. There is no App Store app.

Can we delete our data?

Yes. In grown-up mode, open More, then Privacy and delete. You can remove one child or the whole family at any time. Or email hello@owlsteps.com.

How do I get help?

Email hello@owlsteps.com.
